Simple logic: small, nimble target vs huge, slow moving colossus. But DD has much higher Sea Defence which makes it harder to get hit. So not only BB has more kick but can take more damage too. Battleships currently have 350%, while Destroyers 200%. Now each unit has different Strength value. Previously all units had always 100% Strength and the only difference in terms of defensive stats was Hull and Sea Defence. In the end I'm pretty much reworking all units and techs from ground up. It will be actualy bigger than I initialy planned due to the certain game mechanics and one particular nasty bug forcing me to taking few detours and creating few workarounds. 10.3 will be rather extensive naval rework.
